Mission

The mission of the Grapevine-Colleyville Education Foundation is to provide community-based resources in pursuit of excellence in education, teaching, and innovation in the classroom.

Every dollar donated to the Foundation stays within our school district to assist our students and teachers.

Foundation History

The Foundation was established in 1998 to provide additional funds beyond the district’s normal operating budget for a variety of programs that enhance the quality of education and provide opportunities to benefit GCISD students and staff. Foundation funds are used to facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence, and expand community involvement from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations.

Non-Profit Status

The Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt public corporation operating under the authority of a Board of Directors that is independent from the school district. The volunteer Board serves without compensation and represents a cross-section of the community. The members have a sincere interest in our students and their success.

Invest in the Future!

Your tax-deductible contribution is an investment in the future. Since its inception, the Foundation has funded over 2,000 projects for the benefit of our students and teachers and distributed over $3.5 million to our schools. Teachers have received grants for initiating classroom projects to benefit GCISD students, for increasing professional development in their field, and even for providing materials to students to use with their parents at home. In addition, the Foundation has invested over $1.4 million for an endowment fund that will generate a perpetual source of income. Every dollar donated to the Foundation stays within our school district to assist our students and teachers.

No matter how large or small your donation, it will be gratefully received and carefully appropriated to provide educational opportunities for the students of GCISD. Support may include cash contributions, annual pledges, memorial gifts, stocks, planned giving, matching donations, or in-kind gifts. Donations of $10,000 or more may be designated at the endowment level.

While core educational needs are met mostly through tax dollars, the margin of excellence is possible only by contributions and efforts that go above and beyond that minimum.
