Please support our inaugural annual fund campaign. This is a core fundraising effort to facilitate student achievement and skill development, recognize and encourage staff excellence and expand community involvement from individuals, businesses and civic organizations. One of the ways your donation will help is to provide resources to Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District teachers and students through our Star Teacher Grant program. Last year, we awarded almost $70,000 in Star Teacher Grants to provide means for new programs and activities not supported by tax-based funding, that assist multiple students and classrooms. Funds raised by the Foundation – stay in Grapevine-Colleyville!

As an example, below are several Star Teacher Grants that were given out this past year:

• Decodable Literacy Library (K-2)
  • Provides materials for Pre-K students to learn through play. Evidence shows that dramatic play enhances oral language skills, vocabulary and executive functioning abilities.
• GCISD Robotics
  • Provide robot parts to finish building a robot for UIL competition. In March, Mustang Robotics won a bronze medal at First Tech Challenge UIL State Championship. With just one year of experience, that are the top 5A UIL team in North Texas for 2023.
• Take Note – Transition Adult Program
  • The Take Note project gives special needs young adults 18-22 years the opportunity to design and produce notepads to be sold in our community. This program teaches a wide range of skill sets that impact their vocational future and helps them become employable in a competitive work environment.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt public corporation operating under the authority of a volunteer Board of Directors. Founded in 1998, we are celebrating 25 years of providing community-based resources in pursuit of excellence, teaching and innovation in the classroom. We recognize the need to support the students of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
